The Death of an Ambassador

A number of questions do present themselves in regards to the death of J. Christopher Stevens, the US Ambassador to Libya.

One, what was the Ambassador doing in Benghazi, when he was stationed in Tripoli (400 to 600 miles away by wing or wheel).

Two, what was he doing there without a proper security detail?

Third, why, if the ambassador was allegedly worried about a threat to his life and/or being on an Al Qaeda hit list,  wasn’t a forensics team immediately sent to sift through the site. To say nothing of securing the site.

Finally, why was a CNN news team, 4 days after the incident able to secure a private journal of the ambassadors.
To Me, these are non-political questions that need to be answered, if for no other reason to ensure that more of our diplomats don’t end up with the same fate as Ambassador Stevens.
